Cyprus International Short Film Festival seeks its Best Fiction and Best Experimental films in the competitive category. Fictions of maximum length of 30 minutes and experimentals of maximum length of 15 minutes can be submitted for competition.
 
In the broadest respect; CISFF aims to promote fiction and experimental short films produced in an amateur or professional manner, and by doing this, to support new and innovative ideas in film and to give young film makers an opportunity to exhibit their talents.
 
The awards are:
 

    * Best fiction short film
    * Best experimental short film
    * Best script in a fiction short film
    * Best script in an experimental short film
    * Best editing in a fiction short film
    * Best editing in an experimental short film
    * Best cinematography in a fiction short film
    * Best cinematography in an experimental short film
    * Best actor/actress in a short film (common)

APPLICATION TO NON-COMPETITIVE SECTION
Fiction, experimental, documentary, and animation short films not exceeding 30 minutes can apply for the non-competitive section. The selected films will be shown in 'Festival Shorts'.
