São Paulo International Short Film Festival

  FESTIVAL DATES : August 21 to 29, 2008

Although the festival has a non competitive profile, the audience may vote and a list of the 10 audience favorite shorts will be announced. The event is also opened to other partnerships with different short film promoters resulting in different awards that are also announced during the closing ceremony.



INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM

Registration deadline : May 20th 2008

Registration fee : no fee

Requirements :

1) Films completed after : January 1st 2007

2) Running time : maximum 35’ for films (16mm, 35mm) / between 3 and 20’ for videos

3) Country of production : all countries (except Latin American countries and Brazil)

4) Screening format : 16mm, 35mm, MiniDV, DVCam/Ntsc, BetaSP/Ntsc

5) Genres accepted : all genres

6) If the dialogue language is not Spanish, English or Portuguese the film must be subtitled into one of these languages.



LATIN AMERICAN PROGRAM

Registration deadline : June 16th 2008

Registration fee : no fee

Requirements :

1) Films completed after : January 1st 2007

2) Running time : maximum 35’ for films (16mm, 35mm) / between 3 and 20’ for videos

3) Country of production : Latin American countries

4) Screening format : 16mm, 35mm, MiniDV, DVCam/Ntsc, BetaSP/Ntsc

5) Genres accepted : all genres

6) If the dialogue language is not Spanish, English or Portuguese the film must be subtitled into one of these languages.



BRAZILIAN PROGRAM

Submissions will open on March 14th, 2008.
