Internat. Festival of Visual Arts & New Media 2009The Center of Visual, Electronic Arts & Multimedia, will organize the 2nd edition of the
Festival (FAN) from 30 March to 04 April 2009 in Casablanca. After the success of the Festival’s first edition, the organizers prepare the 2009’s event
with the same enthusiasm. A local and international program of well known artists mixing
performing arts, video, electronic music, dance, sound creation and new media will be in the
schedule of the next edition’s program.Many venues of Casablanca and other Moroccan cities will host performances, shows,
interactive video and multimedia installations and screenings.The festival will be also the occasion for young artists to acquire new knowledge through
workshops. The young artists will be given the opportunity to show their talents in the
framework of a video competition: “The international competition of art schools and cinema”
and the competition “Videos Pocket”.Academic researchers and specialists will be invited to an international colloquium entitled
“Digital arts and Culture: towards new identities?”, to discuss about the issues linked to
the contemporary creation.Professional artists and young creators in visual arts and new media wishing to participate
in FAN 2009, are kindly requested to send a DVD copy of their work with a CV and technical
information (title, year of realization, duration, synopsis, technical team, etc.) to the
